VIRTUAL CLASS! Canyon Cowl
Tue 2/2, 2/23, & 3/23
10 am-12 pm
These classes will be held via Zoom. You will receive a link to the zoom sessions after registration.
Melanie was capturing the amazing red rocks and turquoise sky of the Southwest with this design, but you can create your own landscape with 2 special colors. It’s perfect for Arroyo, but she says it can be made with a suitable sport or DK. I love the way a triangular cowl fits and sits on the body with no fuss. And the short-rows do all the dramatic color work.
Instructor: Jean Carter
Prerequisites: Basic knitting skills.
Homework: Gauge isn’t critical, but I suggest you knit a test piece in garter stitch to be sure you like the fabric. Also gauge variation can affect your yarn requirements.
Skills Learned: Short rows, asymmetrical construction. Seaming. Chart reading will be taught, but is not required.
Materials Required: Pattern: Canyon Cowl by Melanie Rice (available for purchase here). Two contrasting balls of Malabrigo Arroyo (available here) or suitable substitute. Tapestry needle, scissors, locking stitch markers.
All class materials must be purchased from Warm n Fuzzy.
