Little Sock Arms
Tue 1/21, 2/11, 3/3, & 3/24
A fun way to use those wonderful self-striping sock yarns for something besides socks. This pattern builds the sleeves right into the sweater without seaming and without disrupting those yummy stripes.
Prerequisites: Confident with basic knitting skills (cast on, bind off, knit, purl)
Homework: You will need to have knitted AND BLOCKED swatches as needed to get fairly close to the gauge. We will check the gauge and pick a size at the first class. Bring the needles you used to get the best gauges.
Skills Learned: seamless sweater construction, following a pattern, knitting in small circumferences, 3-needle bind off.
Materials Required: Most of the sizes use only one ball of each of 2 yarns: one striping and one solid or semi-solid. Please ask for help in determining yarn quantity. NOTE however: we will not be making the 3 smallest sizes because they call for a neck placket and there will not be time in the class to teach it. US 6 and US 4 in 16” or 24” circular (length as appropriate for your size) or sizes required to meet gauge. DPNs or needles for small circumference in the same sizes. Pattern is available for purchase in-store.
All class materials must be purchased from Warm n Fuzzy.
