Siksak Colorwork Hat
Sat 12/14 & 12/21
2-4 pm

Are you wanting to get into the exciting world of stranded colorwork, but scared to tackle working with two yarns at a time? This hat is a great first colorwork hat, and a small enough project that you can have it done before the holidays!

Instructor:  Denton

Prerequisites:  advanced beginner -- comfortable with knit and purl, cast on, and bind off

Homework:  cast on 108 stitches with main color, using size US 4 needles.  Join in the round and work k2, p2 ribbing for 6 inches.  Please ask if you need help getting started!

Skills Learned: colorwork/stranded knitting, small-circumference knitting, yarn management

Materials Required: You will need the following in sport or DK-weight yarn:

• 75 g of main colour (MC)
• 25 g of contrast colour 1 (CC1)
• 3 x 10 g of three other contrast colours (CC2, CC3, CC4)

Make sure there is enough contrast for the colorwork to show. You will need either a set of dpns or a 40" circular needle (for magic loop) in sizes US 4 and US 7.  Pattern is free and available at time of class.

All class materials must be purchased from Warm n Fuzzy.
