Smuggler's Cove
Fri 1/11, 1/18, & 1/25

The Smuggler’s Cove shawl by Kay Hopkins is a gorgeous mix of lace, textured stitches and colorwork. While it looks complex, the techniques involved are deceptively simple. Beginning with a garter stitch tab, the shawl is worked from the top down with simple increases to create a classic triangular shape. Mosaic (slipped-stitch) colorwork is a great introduction to colorwork, as only one yarn is used at a time. Simple knit-and-purl textures and very basic lace techniques add contrast and interest. Whether you choose a solid or gradient yarn for your contrasting color, this pattern is sure to yield a beautiful result, and teach you a lot of new skills along the way!

Instructor:  Celine
