10 am-12 pm

Stitched in a lightweight yarn and featuring stretches of lace, this airy shawl weaves 2 (or more) colors into a very wearable asymmetrical shape.
Instructor: Jean Carter
Prerequisites: Basic knitting skills. A tiny bit of lace experience would be helpful.
Skills Learned: Crescent shawl architecture, lace knitting from a chart, working with 2 yarns.
Materials Required: Walking in Shade pattern by Anne Hanson. One ball each of 2 colors of fingering weight yarn. Don’t sweat the yardage too much, anything over 225 yards will make a respectable shawl and we can stop when we are about to run out. Get 375 yards of each for a long shawl. We like this with solids or semisolids that contrast gently. Or use 3 colors and do a “Fade” kind of thing. You can even make it with one color, but it won’t be as much fun. Size 7-US needle is recommended, but gauge is not critical.
All class materials must be purchased from Warm n Fuzzy.
