Have you always wanted to learn to knit your own socks but felt intimidated by the process? Socks are a great mini-canvas to show off your knitting skills and keep your feet toasty too!

This class will teach you all you need to know to make socks; and in DK weight - they will fly! Together we will go step-by-step to demystify process and set you on your way to a new world of sock-knitting.

Instructor: Rachel Ruvo

Prerequisites: Basic knitting skills including: Knit/Purl, Long-tail Cast-on, Knowledge of basic increases & decreases, Understanding of Magic Loop (or have watched a YouTube video on it), Ability to read a knitting pattern (Basic garment experience a plus but not required).

Homework: Before the first class please print the pattern. Select your yarn, I recommend a solid or semi-solid for your first pair of socks. Read through pattern specs and select your size and needle to obtain gauge. Please come to class with your yarn wound, your needles ready and the readiness to learn some knitting sorcery.

Skills Learned: Old Norwegian Cast-on, Pick-up & Knit, Heel Flap & Gusset, Kitchener Stitch.

Materials Required: Pattern DK Weight Vanilla Socks by Crazy Sock Lady Designs (available for free on Ravelry). 100 gr skein DK Weight Yarn (or fingering held double) - we recommend KraeO Mama Bear, 32+ inch circular needles in size needed to obtain gauge, 3 Locking Stitch Markers, tapestry needle.

For class cancellations: if cancellation is made outside of 48 hours of class start time, you will be provided with a store credit to be used on any future purchase with the shop.  There will be no refunds on cancellations made within 48 hours of class start time.
