Beginning Crochet - July '22

As a form of fiber art, crochet offers infinite opportunity for creativity. Once you learn to crochet you can create garments, afghans and blankets, home accessories, amigurumi, toys and a world of other fun projects. This class will show you how to get started. You’ll learn some basic stitches to create a set of set of useful coasters, and you’ll be on your way to create other beautiful projects. We'll be working on Concentric Circles Coaster by Melody Gillum (free pattern).

Instructor: Amy Wentley

Prerequisites: Willingness to learn

Homework: None

Skills Learned: Foundation chain, magic ring, single crochet stitch, half double crochet stitch and double crochet stitch.

Materials Required: Please come in at least 15-30 minutes prior to class to purchase your supplies and have your yarn wound.  You will need 1 skein of aran weight wool yarn (we suggest Quince & Co. Opsprey in a light color) as well as a size I (5.5 mm), J (6.0 mm), or K (6.5 mm) crochet hook.

All class materials must be purchased from Warm 'n Fuzzy. For class cancellations: if cancellation is made outside of 48 hours of class start time, you will be provided with a store credit to be used on any future purchase with the shop. There will be no refunds on cancellations made within 48 hours of class start time.
