Have you fallen in love with that one gorgeous skein of fingering weight yarn, but can’t figure out what to do with it? The slipped stitches on this cowl allow each of the wild colors to have a moment of stardom, and  it’s all accomplished with a combination of knitting, purling and slipping stitches without working them—magic!

Instructor: Jean Carter

Prerequisites:  Basic knitting skills. This is a good just-past-beginner class.

Homework: Gauge is not critical, but if you normally have to adjust your needle size, go ahead and plan to do that.  Work a practice piece: Cast on 25 sts of any old yarn onto any old needles and work about 10 rows of stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row.)

Skills Learned: Cable cast on, knitting in the round, slipped stitches, Lace Bind Off in pattern, blocking.

Materials Required:  Pattern (available for purchase here). One skein (approximately 400 yards) of multi-colored fingering-weight yarn.

All class materials must be purchased from Warm n Fuzzy.
