Veera describes her sweater, Pavement: Simple yoke shaping is taking new directions with this little lovely sweater! Loose gauge helps you to get most of the drape of the yarn and makes this a perfect piece to wear throughout the whole year. The sweater is light and has a lovely, slightly boxy, straight shape, making it wonderfully cozy to wear.
Prerequisites: advanced beginner -- very comfortable with knit and purl, cast on, and bind off
Skills Learned: top-down sweater construction, short rows,
Homework: Please work a 4”x4” swatch and wash and block it before class. Gauge needed for this sweater is 22 sts/4". If it is way off, work another on a different size needle until you get close. Bring all swatches to first class.
Materials Required: 1030 - 1685 yards yards fingering weight yarn, depending on size required. US 3 and US 7, 32" circulars (or sizes needed to obtain gauge). Copy of pattern is available for purchase in-store.
