Emotional Support Chicken - Crochet

Join us for a fun and relaxing crochet class featuring the popular Emotional Support Chicken pattern, originally by The Knitting Tree, L.A. This viral design creates a soft, huggable plush chicken that’s perfect for bringing a little comfort and joy. Using worsted weight yarn, you’ll crochet your very own colorful chicken—customize it with your favorite colors and make a truly one-of-a-kind creation!

All classes and lessons must be purchased online.

Prerequisites: Participants should be comfortable with CH, SC, HDC, DC, TR, and SL stitches.

Skills Learned: making a gauge swatch, joining to work in the round, ribbing, front post double crochet (fpdc), back post double crochet (bpdc), and two special decreasing stitches.

Materials Required:

• Worsted Weight yarn (2-4 contrasting colors). Approx 270 yards for color A, 70 yards for color B (*Note, please see the girls at the shop for yarn suggestions.)
• 4.5mm crochet hook (or size needed to meet gauge)
• 10 locking stitch markers
• Darning needle (for sewing)

Provided Materials:

• 2 yards of yarn for the beak, 3 yards of yarn for wattle and comb.
• Poly-Fill (approx. 250 grams)
• Safety Eyes (15mm)

Class Policies:  All class materials must be purchased from Warm 'n Fuzzy. For class cancellations: if cancellation is made outside of 48 hours of class start time, you will be provided with a store credit to be used on any future purchase with the shop. There will be no refunds on cancellations made within 48 hours of class start time. Warm 'n Fuzzy reserves the right to cancel any classes if less than 3 students sign up within 24 hours of the start time. If the class is canceled by Warm 'n Fuzzy, you will be refunded.
