Harlow Worsted Hat

This stunning hat, worked in the round in Brioche stitch, is warm, stretchy, and shows off contrasting colors of yarn beautifully. And it’s completely reversible! This is a popular hat pattern on Ravelry and was originally designed for fingering-weight yarn. This version is just as beautiful and knits up quickly in worsted-weight yarn. This is a great project to learn or practice Brioche stitch.

Prerequisites: Advanced beginner. Know how to knit, purl, and work increases and decreases. Experience working in the round and working yarnovers is helpful but not required.

Homework: None

Skills Learned: Two-color tubular cast on and Twisted German cast on, two-color brioche in the round, Brk 4 st decrease.

Materials Required: Please come in at least 15-30 minutes prior to class to purchase your supplies and have your yarn wound. Yarn: Worsted Weight in 2 contrasting colors, approximately 140 yds each. Needles: Size US 5/3.75 mm - 16”/40 cm circular, Size US 6/4 mm - 16”/40 cm circular, Size US 6/4 mm - DPNs (or a longer circular for Magic Loop) Notions: Locking stitch markers, Tapestry needle. You will also need to purchase a copy of the pattern (available in-store).

All class materials must be purchased from Warm 'n Fuzzy. For class cancellations: if cancellation is made outside of 48 hours of class start time, you will be provided with a store credit to be used on any future purchase with the shop.
