My First Knitted Sweater
Thurs 10/30, 11/13, 12/11, & 1/8
6-8 pm

This class is for those familiar with the basic knitting stitches and are ready to learn some new skills including: understanding gauge, reading patterns, working in the round, increases and decreases, picking up stitches, and raglan sweater design. It’s the perfect class to take your skills to the next level and make a family member, or yourself, a cozy sweater this winter.

All classes and lessons must be purchased online.

Instructor:  Kestrel

Prerequisites:  Knit, Purl, Cast-on, Bind-off

Skills Learned: Review of stitches, Working in the round, Getting gauge to create a garment that fits perfect, Increases using M1R and M1L, Using stitch markers, Putting stitches on hold and picking up stitches, Reading your work, Professional finishing techniques.

Materials Required:

• # of skeins of worsted weight yarn for the size sweater you are making (refer to pattern) 
  • Recommended to make a baby to child size sweater to have a finished sweater by the end of the class
• 4 mm and 5 mm needles depending on your gauge (16” and 22” cords, depending on sweater size)
• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Class Policies:  All class materials must be purchased from Warm 'n Fuzzy. For class cancellations: if cancellation is made outside of 48 hours of class start time, you will be provided with a store credit to be used on any future purchase with the shop. There will be no refunds on cancellations made within 48 hours of class start time. Warm 'n Fuzzy reserves the right to cancel any classes if less than 3 students sign up within 24 hours of the start time. If the class is canceled by Warm 'n Fuzzy, you will be refunded.
