The shaping couldn’t be simpler on this cable-and-lacy boat-neck tee, for a child or adult. If you are new to cables or lace or charts, or just want to brush up on your skills, this is the project for you. It is knit in a rectangle and seamed (and who couldn't use a refresher on seaming?)
Instructor: Jean Carter
Prerequisites: Basic knitting skills
Skills Learned: cables, lace, chart reading, mattress stitch, provisional cast on, 3-needle bind off.
Materials Required: Pattern by Caitlin Shepherd, child or adult (links here and here). Worsted weight yarn in amount called for in pattern. Start with needles that you think might work. (Go up a size if you know you are a tight knitter for example.) We will work the gauge swatch in class. As a rough guide, I got a gauge of 19 sts per 4 inches in stockinette on the same needles that gave me correct gauge in pattern.
All class materials must be purchased from Warm n Fuzzy.
