Two-Color Brioche Scarf
Wed 2/19 & 2/26
Want to experience the joy and squishiness and reversibility of 2-color brioche, but not ready for fancy shaping? Let’s make a cozy scarf. With my Flow-Chart scheme for keeping yourself organized, you will make fewer mistakes. But we will also talk about how to fix it if you do.
Prerequisites: intermediate-- solid basic knitting skills
Skills Learned: basic brioche stitch worked flat, how to correct mistakes in brioche
Materials Required: We will use one ball (around 220 yards) each of 2 colors of worsted yarn. (Think Rios or FIberstory Core Worsted, for example.) Make sure that one is light and the other dark with distinct contrast. At least one of the balls needs to be solid or almost solid colored. We will use US size 6 needles, either dpn’s or circulars, because we will be knitting from both ends of the needles. Pattern will be provided in class.
All class materials must be purchased from Warm n Fuzzy.
