VIRTUAL CLASS! Tunisian Crochet
Thu 4/29 & 5/6
10 am-12 pm
These classes will be held via Zoom. You will receive a link to the zoom sessions after registration.
Do you love to crochet and want to try a new technique? Are you not a fan of crochet, but and intrigued with the great fabric texture of Tunisian crochet? This is the class for you.
We will start with a washcloth to get the basic stitch, then move on to a lovely scarf that would be great for either men or women.
Instructor: Jean Carter
Prerequisites: Very basic crochet knowledge
Skills Learned: Tunisian crochet stitch, both one- and two-color, fringe
Materials Required: We will use a skein of either Blue Sky Organic Cotton or Quince & Co. Whimbrel (cotton) for the washcloth, and one skein of each of 2 colors of worsted in wool like Fiberstory Core Worsted and/or Malabrigo Rios in contrasting colors for the scarf. We will need a Tunisian crochet hook size I or J. (5.25 to 5.75 mm) Ten-inch-long hooks by Susan Bates are good and are available on Amazon for $5-$6. Don’t get the kind with hooks on both ends. Also, for casting on, please have a regular crochet hook, in a size a little bigger than your afghan hook, if possible. Patterns will be provided in class
All class materials must be purchased from Warm n Fuzzy.
