Waterfront Cowl is a cozy accessory that uses four different stitch patterns to achieve a lovely intriguing texture. This class will give beginning knitters a chance to learn to knit in the round and learn to work different stitch patterns.
Instructor: Amy Wentley
Prerequisites: Basic knitting skills, be able to knit and purl comfortably.
Homework: None
Skills Learned: Casting on a large number of stitches, joining in the round, knitting 1x1 rib, broken rib, slip stitch, elongated broken rib, and binding off loosely.
Materials Required: Approximately 400 yards of worsted weight yarn. Avoid very dark colors; working with a lighter color will make knitting easier. Needles: One size US 8 (5 mm) circular needle, 24"/60cm long. Notions: stitch marker, tapestry needle. Be sure to pick out your yarn and have it wound before class starts. You will also need to purchase a copy of the pattern (available in-store).
All class materials must be purchased from Warm 'n Fuzzy. For class cancellations: if cancellation is made outside of 48 hours of class start time, you will be provided with a store credit to be used on any future purchase with the shop. There will be no refunds on cancellations made within 48 hours of class start time.
